Oakland Rising is a collective of top emerging artists from Oakland dedicated to sharing the stage, honoring the city’s legendary cultural legacy and bringing light to this world. Since launching in October of 2024, they have performed at Hardly Strictly Bluegrass, the Kennedy Center, OMCA, the Mountain Winery and more, supporting artists ranging from Rhiannon Giddens to Sheila E. The group was developed in partnership with music education program Follow the Music.
